From the Principal

Welcome to Brantley County High School. Our faculty and staff members encourage students to actively participate in their daily learning as well as to become involved in school sponsored activities. We offer many co-curricular and extracurricular activities to provide for varied student interests.

Brantley County High School strives to make AYP and is currently going through the high school accreditation process. Our athletic programs excel. Our student body is a mostly cohesive group primarily from three ethnic backgrounds: white, black and Hispanic. Students of all races are involved in athletic, co-curricular and social events, which culminate in a school-sponsored prom, an extravaganza looked forward to by the juniors and seniors.

Parents are always welcome. Teachers welcome parental involvement to form a team to see that your children progress satisfactorily. Teachers and administrators will talk with you at any time about the progress your child is making. Administrators also have an open door policy to discuss concerns that students and their parents may have.

Brantley County High School is the home of Herons, and is a great place to receive an education.

Randy Yonz, Principal

Mission:
Brantley County High School will provide a learning environment which keeps students actively engaged in learning and prepares students with knowledge and skills to transition into a post secondary institution or into an entry level position into the world of work.

CULINARY ARTS:
The Brantley County Culinary Arts department has been very busy this school year.  With their brand new, state of the art professional kitchen, they have been cooking up a storm for many different groups.  Some of their projects include spaghetti for the football team, catered supper for Leadership Brantley, ECP Catered Luncheon and the Vocational Advisory Council Supper.  They have also prepared breakfast for the BCHS Heron Special Teams, cake and punch for the National Honor Society, Lasagna Supper for the Future Business Leaders of America and appetizers for the BCHS Senior Night that was sponsored by the Guidance Department.
