BCMS FBLA Wins at Region Competition

Brantley County Middle School FBLA members earned lots of awards at the Region 2 Leadership Conference competition.  Thirteen members competed against 11 other middle schools in the region.  BCMS FBLA members won 1^st place in 5 of the 10 events entered!  All totaled, BCMS FBLA brought home five 1^st places, three 2^nd places, two 3^rd places, three 4^th places, and two 5^th places. 

Winners and their events were: CJ Cannon - 1^st in Computer Concepts; Benjamin Sawyer - 1^st in FBLA Concepts; Joey Lane - 1^st in Internet Concepts; Wayne Gainey - 1^st in Parliamentary Procedure Concepts; Zane Moody - 1^st in Personal Financial Concepts; Abigail Carlson - 2^nd in Personal Financial Concepts; Abigail Carlson - 2^nd in Business Concepts; Nathaniel Rehberg - 3^rd in Career Exploration; Benjamin Sawyer - 3^rd in Proofreading & Editing; Mark Walker - 4^th in Business Concepts; Emily Smith - 4^th in Business Spelling; Mark Walker - 4^th in Career Exploration; Micheal Wainwright - 5^th in Personal Financial Concepts; Kayla Wilson - 5^th in Proofreading & Editing; and the BCMS FBLA Chapter - 2^nd in Region 2 Largest Local Middle Level Chapter. 

FBLA Week

Come join in the fun of FBLA week! It will be February 8^th - 12^th. Five days of fun! Monday is Member Appreciation Day. Mrs. Sawyer will hand out cookies and a sign to put in your locker. Tuesday will be CEO Dress-up day which is where all FBLA members dress nicely (no jeans L). Wednesday will be Teacher Appreciation Day. There will be snacks for the teachers located in the teacher's lounge. Thursday is "Go Green Day" and the FBLA members wear green and brown. Last but not least, Friday is FBLA t-shirt day and FBLA members will wear their FBLA shirt or blue and gold. Don't miss out on the fun!

Labels for Education

BCMS is participating in the Labels for Education program. To meet our goals, we need to collect 2,500 points .  Participating in the program is easy - simply save UPC's from participating Campbell products and send them to school.  Some of the products eligible for redemption during the 2009-2010 program year include:

Campbell's, SpaghettiOs,Prego, Swanson, Pepperidge Farm, V8 Splash and V8 Fusion
